The HK House of Peers wishes to thank all the collectors and attendees at Fire & ICE – for a wonderful Convention. Collectors of Harmony Kingdom and Adam Binder Editions enjoyed our guest artists: PETER CALVESBERT and ADAM BINDER.

EVENT PIECES
Both of our guest artists have created special pieces for this event. Peter Calvesbert chose "fire" as his inspiration for the Early Bird piece, while Adam Binder chose "ice" as his inspiration, creating the main event piece.
LIGHT MY FIRE
Peter created Light My Fire, which may explain how the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 really started. This piece was available to those who registered for the convention at the Collector level, with a minimum deposit before November 15, 2010, and a final payment by February 14, 2011. It was also be given to qualified sponsors of the event. For more information visit our SPONSORSHIP page. |
LIGHT MY FIRE REDUX
|
Peter created a second version, Light My Fire Redux, as an event fundraiser. Any attendee, Collector or Associate, has the right to purchase up to two pieces. Mrs. O'Leary's cow forgot to dress for the occasion and is now sporting a tie, has some interesting reading material, plus other changes. This piece replaces Light My Fire Version 2.

ON THE BRINK
PROHIBITION PETE
A Prohibition era mobster complete with a Tommy Gun and a fedora hat. Mobsters in that era ruled the speakeasy taverns and lawless streets with Thompson machine guns. Smartly pin-stripped dressed gangsters and flappers danced the evening away at a time when romance reigned supreme and illegal liquor empowered the already brazen disdain for authority. Legends and timeless names were born during this time, Al Capone, Elliott Ness, and others. The U.S. was painfully undergoing growth from the industrial expansion and fortunes were made. Chicago attracted them all and was the demise of many it lead astray. A big town filled with big money and big players during big times.
Our Prohibition Pete is a pendant caved by Peter Calvesbert. This was a 'right-to-buy' pendant offered to attendees of the Fire & ICE convention. The funds raised from the sale of this pendant goes to Pete, which he used to bring his family to the event. We have the privilege of having Andrea with us once again. The cost of this 'right-to-buy' pendant was $25 each.
As a thank you to the people who participated, with the purchase of a pendant, Pete is making 10 pendants in a special color which were given as gifts. During the Brunch Finale on Sunday, Pete drew 10 names from the participants who purchased the pendant. Those 10 lucky winners received his special version of Prohibition Pete, at no cost.
POLAR BEAR AND SEAL
A set of two pendants, Polar Bear and Seal, is Adam Binder's personal piece (set). The funds raised from the sale of this set goes to Adam. This was a boxed set of two pendants at $50 per set.
On Sunday morning Adam also thanked people who participated, with the purchase of a pendant set, with several black-stained versions (the regular version is brown) which was given away as gifts. During the Brunch Finale on Sunday, Adam drew names from the participants who purchased the pendants. Several lucky winners received his special black-stained version set of Polar Bear and Seal, at no cost. |

ELLIOTT THE CAT
It takes a lot of volunteers to make an event like this successful. This year, we had a special way to say "Thanks" for helping. Volunteers who worked at least a three (3) hour shift during the event (or who did at least three hours helping to prepare for the event) had the 'right-to-buy' a special color version of Peter's cat pendant, Elliott the Cat, for $25! In addition, all volunteers went into a drawing for a solid event prototype.
