EVENT PIECES
Our guest artist, Peter Calvesbert, chose the Old South/Antebellum period as his inspiration for his event figurines. For our Early Bird piece, Peter's inspiration came from Gone With The Wind. His cat-like version is how Rhett and Scarlett might be dressed for a day of fun!
PAWS FOR BELLE
|
Paws for Belle, the Early Bird piece,
was available to those who registered for the event
at the Collector level.
A minimum deposit before October 15, 2012, and
a final payment by November 15, 2012, was required.

TUGALOO HULLABALOO
|
Peter created Tugaloo Hullabaloo,
as the main event piece. This special
two-box piece was available to all
who registered at the Collector level. |
TUGALOO HULLABALOO II
Tugaloo Hullabaloo II, our event fundraiser.
The weight of the manatee pilot has caused the tower to collapse. The manatee has squashed the snake and other unlucky animals that were on top. Any attendees, Collector or Associate, had the right to purchase an unlimited number of Version 2. |

PRIVATE PETE
If you were a soldier, what rank would you want to be? Peter decided he wanted to be in the trenches. So, meet Private Pete, the personal fundraiser pendant to help with the expenses of bringing his family to Atlanta. HOP assisted Peter Calvesbert by selling this fabulous addition to our event for him. Every attendee – whether a Collector or an Associate – could have ordered as many Private Pete pendants as you desired. The cost was $25 each.
|
Private Pete joins the rest of the "Pete" pendants from years past, this time in a Confederate outfit. This special pendant was a fundraiser to help bring Andrea, Sam, and Millie to Atlanta. A $25 investment, or more since there's no limit, was well worth it!

As a Thank You to us for helping support his families trip, Peter gave a special color version of the pendant (brown stain and green uniform) to 10 lucky purchasers. The drawings were held at the Sunday morning finale session. |

DIXIE CHICK
In a tradition, whether it's from the South or from Peter's home, this Andrea pendant sports a flag. Not bearing a flag (nice job Karen! (a guess from the Yahoo! board)) but draped with a flag! This Dixie Chick pendant was just $25.
The practice of using primary and secondary naval flags after the British tradition was common practice for the Confederacy, linked as she was by both heritage and economy to the British Isles. The fledgling Confederate Navy therefore adopted and used jacks, battle ensigns, and small boat ensigns, as well as commissioning pennants, designating flags, and signal flags aboard its warships.
It appears Andrea's wearing The Second Confederate Navy Jack, 1863–1865. |
