HOP & HK UK CHARITY RAFFLE & AUCTION
Prototypes, hard-to-get pieces, and more could have been in your future! You had an opportunity to win any of these items and help our charity at the same time. On Saturday, April 7th, over 100 collectors rendezvoused in New Orleans for the 2018 HK Mardi Gras Reunion. One of the highlights of the event was our Charity Raffle.
We were excited to announce a portion of our Charity Raffle, held during the HK Reunion, was open to the public!
There were 70 special raffle items plus 17 auction items selected, with many items being rare or hard-to-find pieces, for our charity at the event. We made 12 of the raffles available to the public, prior to March 24th, as well as to the attendees. Each prize had its own box for tickets, so you know you'll only win something that you wanted.
You got your chances with two (2) tickets for $5 or the Value Package of 10 tickets for $20. All proceeds were donated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), a charity supported by the Harmony Ball Company, who provided many of the wonderful items we had available.
Everyone could have participated in this raffle, even if you were not registered or attending the event, prior to the March 23, 2018, deadline. Tickets for the Charity Raffle were available online or by mail. You could have completed the order form and mail with your check, if that's your choice of payment, payable to NAMI, or online by email to the HOP President. Attendees could also purchase tickets at the event. NAMI checks will be held and presented to the charity after the event.
If you payed by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or PayPal, we sent you an appropriate invoice to pay, with no fees added. The amount of the fees will reduce the charity donations.
Public participation by any non-attendees needed to select which raffles they wanted and must have purchased tickets no later than Friday, March 23, 2018. That means orders must arrive at the mailing address by that day, or ordered online using a credit card or PayPal. People attending could order their tickets in advance and have them waiting for them at registration with their names already on the tickets or in the boxes, if they select prize numbers.
The prizes along with the ticket boxes were on display Saturday at the event where attendees had their opportunity to place their tickets in the desired boxes. The drawing was held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets purchased before the event were combined with those purchased at the event.

CHARITY RAFFLE ITEMS
Our charity raffle was divided into three groups. Items #1 through #12 were open to the public and all registered collectors. Items #1 through #24 were open to registered non-attendees and attendees. Items #1 through #59 were open to registered attendees.
The public ordering deadline was Friday, March 23, 2018. Orders could have been placed using the 2018 Public Raffle Order Form (PDF file) for items #1 through #12. Registered non-attendees and attendees, could have used the 2018 Registered Collectors Raffle Order Form (PDF file) which includes items #1 through #24.
