PETER SIGNING
If you wanted items signed, this was your chance! It was just an old-fashioned Signing Line with a maximum of five (5) pieces signed each time through the line. If you want more signed, go back through the line again. Everyone registered can participate in the Singing Line (Collector or Associate). A suggestion for those coming from a distance: just bring the lids to be signed. That's how most people did it in the 1990s and early 2000s at the International Collectible Expositions in the US, and the Birthday Bash in the UK.
Note: All event pieces will be signed in advance.
PAINT-YOUR-OWN
Have you always wanted to create your own painted version of a figurine? Would you like to use the same stains or paint as the HK painters (and Pete) use? Here's your optional chance! Paint-Your-Own figurines (unpainted versions of Tony's Tabbies) were available online for only $25 each, and you could have ordered as many as five. Pieces at the event were limited to stock on hand. Paints and brushes were provided to create your one-of-a-kind color masterpiece, or you could have brought your own brushes. This is a full size Treasure Jest box figurine that you have plenty of time to paint.
SWAP 'N SELL
Did you have a handmade craft that you wanted to sell? Did you have any extra pieces you don't need? One activity on Saturday was the Swap 'n Sell. The cost was $20 for a 5-foot long, skirted, and draped table with two chairs. Table registration is closed.
CHARITY
Some of our activities were planned for focusing on giving back! We had raffles and auctions to support two charities: NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), in the US; and in Britain The Barn Owl Centre of Gloucestershire. Harmony Kingdom UK supported this charity for several reasons – "Encouraging owls and wildlife is very close to our hearts, as can be seen in most of Pete's carvings. In our 3-acre field we have already installed a barn owl box as part of an ongoing plan to entourage wildlife into our little bit of paradise, and would like to install more. Have a look at "Barn Owl Manor" on their website! We felt it fitted well with the event piece being an owl." One of Andrea's favourite pieces carved by Pete is a barn owl.
The CHARITY SILENT AUCTION & CHARITY RAFFLE page contains a complete list of the auction and raffle items in the event. The cost at the event was three (3) tickets for $7.50, or £5.
