CHARITABLE DONATIONS
The PIRATES of the KINGDOM event raised over $32,000 for charity.
What an incredible gathering of HK collectors and families we had in Orlando! The weekend began with close to 150 people Wednesday night at the local club reception hosted by Harmony Florida Suncoast Collectors Club. Also attending the reception were representatives of the charity sponsored by the club: the Florida Baptist Children's Homes. This event began a focus on charity, which continued throughout the weekend.
Some of the favorite activities funding the charities enabled attendees to win prizes, raffles, and auctions. In addition, to the local club charity, we were graced with the presence of Katrina Gay (right) from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). The generosity of the bidders during the Live Auction left a strong impression on NAMI. Look for us being highlighted in an upcoming issue of their magazine the Advocate. Over the last nine years HOP has used donations, from Harmony Ball Company and others, to donate over $93,000 to NAMI.
Thanks to everyone's generosity, HOP has made donations approaching $33,000 to the following charities:
