When you think of a mouse hunt, one of two images come to mind – hunting for the tiny critter on a Peter Calvesbert box or finding the furry one hidden behind a kitchen stove. But, we have another very special mouse hunt in mind for those attending the HK House of Peers HK Reunion in Rosemont on June 29, 2001.
The HK Reunion was transformed into a carnival atmosphere with surprises lurking in the various caverns of the Mezzanine Level at the DoubleTree O'Hare Hotel. Adventurous attendees are invited to follow the crumbs provided by clues to find the solution to the Great Mouse Hunt. The clever ones among you who unscramble the message are included in a drawing for the most gifted of all.
The anointed one takes home a set of 11 special Winterfest (Nick and Rudy) Roly Polys!
Collectors and dealers search from room to room finding various game challenges offered by the local clubs, a bar or two to quench your thirst or a delectable array of foods to satisfy your hunger. While searching for mouse clues, you may also get your HOP Passport stamped. Once filled it may be redeemed for a special pin complements of the HK House of Peers. Or you may spend part of your evening at the Lucky Dip hoping to win some of the wonderful prizes including the set of Noah's Park tiles, YT42HK Cardew teapot and much, much more.
This special evening, was at 8:00pm on Friday night, June 29th. Tickets were be $10 at the door. See details in the Rosemont article.
