The HK House of Peers offered you the opportunity to win a rare prototype of Cousin Sam. The funds raised in this auction will be used to support HOP's activities on behalf of the Independent HK Collector Clubs.
Cousin Sam Prototype
Cousin Sam was given to collectors who attended the HK CORRAL collector event held in Phoenix, Arizona, in October 2006. The total edition size for the event piece was only 225. The prototype auctioned here is one of five that were made; the other four were given as prizes at the event.
This piece was carved by Monique Baldwin in 2004, originally as an entry in the Covets series. The Cousin Sam prototype in this auction is the original version of the piece, before any changes were made for the event.

Around the lower part of the box are S-shaped markings, like the trail of a snake. The regular piece has HK CORRAL, OCT 13-15, 2006, and PHOENIX, AZ on the sides of the box in place of the snake markings.
