The HK House of Peers and Harmony Kingdom offered you the opportunity to win an extremely rare box figurine prototype of Fragonard. At the same time you would be assisting NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), a grass roots organization dedicated to the eradication of mental illnesses and to the improvement of the quality of life of all whose lives are affected by these diseases. All proceeds from this auction will be donated to NAMI in the winners name.

Fragonard Prototype

	Carved by Master Carver David Lawrence, Fragonard was produced in England, as a small Treasure Jest. The Fragonard prototype offered here has the pig holding a beer mug, instead of a bunch of roses, as in the production box. Fragonard was issued in the spring of 2004, as a fixed edition of 2,500 pieces worldwide. Only 250 were made with the beer mug, this being the first prototype.   Fragonard Prototype
Fragonard HK Secrets: (Production Box) Fragonard is a famous perfumery in France. A lovelorn pig has decided he'll need a large bottle of the wonderful scent to conceal the odor of the sty while on his romantic escapades. One trotter clutches the "PIG BREEDER'S GAZETTE" - has he been reading the personal ads? In the other trotter he holds a bunch of roses. The sack in front of him contains "Pork Scratchings," a fried pig skin "snack" often found for sale in pubs. One evening at the pub David's friend broke a tooth while munching on scratchings. On the interior we find a tooth and the carving "No Wis." This is the 123rd box figurine David has carved for Harmony Kingdom.
	The carving detail on this prototype Fragonard is wonderful! From the tips of hooves, to his expressive face, this fellow is quite the charmer. He will steal your heart! Fragonard has all the hallmarks inscribed on the rim of the lid. Neither the lid nor the base are marked with the crown stamp.   Fragonard Prototype

This incredible auction is for the first prototype box figurine, of the extremely rare Fragonard with beer mug! The bottom of the base is marked DL PIG P #001 Cheer. Perhaps the word 'cheer' refers to a toast he's making with the mug of ale.

NAMI is the nation's leading grassroots organization solely dedicated to improving the lives of persons with severe mental illnesses (major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders). Their efforts focus on support to persons with serious mental illnesses and to their families.
