These prototype box figurines were carved by Mark Ricketts and produced by Martin Perry StudiosT at England's Wimberley Mills. The box on the left represents a US fireman and was released as Flame Tamer, part of the Pot Bellys line. The one on the right represents an English fireman, and will be released in the UK as Smokey Joe. There are several major differences between the two pieces. The US fireman's jacket is striped and says "NO FEAR" on the back; his helmet is ridged with a large crest. The English fireman's jacket is a solid colour and says "FIRE" on the back; his helmet is smoother with a smaller crest. The faces are also very different.

This eBay Auction was a charity auction sponsored by the HK House of Peers to benefit The Leary Firefighters Foundation.
Actor Denis Leary established The Leary Firefighters Foundation in the wake of the September 11th attacks. The fund supports "the efforts of New York City Fire Departments and the families of those who have perished." In addition to the funds raised by this auction, Harmony Ball Company has announced that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the regular Flame Tamer will also be donated to The Leary Firefighters Foundation.
