This charity auction benefits the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Services. The mission of the American Red Cross Disaster Services is to ensure nationwide disaster planning, preparedness, community disaster education, mitigation, and response that will provide the American people with quality services delivered in a uniform, consistent, and responsive manner.
The American Red Cross responds to disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, fires, or other situations that cause human suffering or create human needs that those affected cannot alleviate without assistance.
This Spring Bouquet prototype is one of the first two of four holiday bouquets to be offered in 2000.
The colours on this box figurine are vivid and differ considerably from the retail version.
Spring Bouquet Prototype |
The Spring Bouquet prototype was carved by Sherman Drackett. This is the first colour sample for the box figurine, and was made at Wimberley Mills in the UK.
Limited Edition bouquets have been part of Lord Byron's Harmony Garden series since its introduction. The first limited edition bouquet was the Rose Basket, and in 1999 four more appeared. Each of the holiday bouquets are released in limited editions of 5,000; carved by Sherman Drackett with Monique Baldwin contributing to the interiors. |
The interior of this Spring Bouquet prototype is different from the version produced for retail sale. In the retail version, Lord Byron, the ladybug, dances with his friends around a Maypole. In this prototype, two lambs greet you in the interior. |
